Susan Granata, M.A. MFT (MFC 43805)
741 Garden View Court, Suite 107
Encinitas, CA 92024
I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to California in 1974, after my husband Joe and I honeymooned in California and decided to make it our home.
Being drawn to becoming a therapist early on, I began my education on the East Coast but completed it after Joe and I raised our family in Santa Cruz, CA.
I worked for several years with special needs and autistic children and adults.
I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the unique Spiritual Psychology Program at The University of Santa Monica, where the focus is on how psychology interfaces with spirituality.
During my attendance at USM, my husband, after a long career in law enforcement, felt called to become a therapist and after graduating from USM, also became licensed.
In 2001, my husband Joe and I moved to the beautiful community of Encinitas and are each enjoying an individual private practice.
Having been married for 43 years, Joe and I at times work together with couples who feel drawn to our unique style and energy, and to our many years of experiencing the challenges and joys of married life. If you are interested in consulting Joe or I regarding conjoint couples counseling, you can reach either of us on our shared business line at 760-230-2397. If you would like to e-mail Joe, you can reach him at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
